Social Media TV is an IMPRESS-regulated news channel founded by former BBC and ITV journalist Anna Brees in 2017.

Penarth SMTV and Barry SMTV publish to Facebook & Insta, Vale SMTV reaches younger audiences through TikTok.  

From June to December 2025, our channels had 7.6 million views. With 3.46 million on Penarth SMTV, 2.24 million on Barry SMTV and 1.9 million on Vale SMTV TikTok. Around 86–88% of the Facebook audience was concentrated in Penarth, Barry, Cardiff and Dinas Powys.
